In Halliday's terms, an analysis of discourse not based on grammar is not an analysis, but a mere comment on texts. This project centers around the social theories of discourse and the SFL as a grammatical basis for the description and analysis of the different corpora that will be worked with in the research trajectories that constitute it 1 Motapanyane, 1996). La metodología para ambas líneas de investigación consistirá en la descripción de fragmentos seleccionados de las gramáticas correspondientes a las variedades regionales del español actual y se procederá a la comparación y explicación de los datos y de las dificultades de adquisición del español de Santa Fe 1 Nigel, 2014; Brugé, Cardinaletti, Giusti, Munaro, 1 Non-standard Spanish 1 Poletto, 2012; Cornips 1 Since the last decade of the twentieth century, the constitutive dimension of language in the man-world relationship and the acknowledgment of the symbolically mediated nature of consciousness have been strengthened in the humanities and the social sciences. This strengthening has allowed the reformulation of classical issues regarding the relations between social structure and interaction, and between reproduction and social change from different theoretical perspectives. From the field of language studies in particular, Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), founded by M. A. K. Halliday at thebeginning of the nineteen sixties, has been of crucial importance for the study of these matters.The conceptual framework of SFL considers human language to be organized on the basis of three metafunctions. These metafunctions constitutean abstraction that explains the universal nature of language, and they are the following ones: ideational metafunction, interpersonal metafunction and textual metafunction. They are realized through the transitivity system, the mood/residue system, and the theme/rheme system, respectively, in the lexico-grammar of a language (Halliday 1 Social discourse 1 South American indigenous languages 1 Theoretical linguistics 1 This project is closely related to other CAI+Ds and it articulates two lines of research, one, which we call "line 1", i) related to the microparametric variation in the grammars of the regional varieties of Spanish; and another, "line 2", ii) related to the development of the lexicon in children with difficulties in language acquisition. Line 1 will investigate the grammaticalization and lexicalization processes that operate in the languages under study, i.e. mainly regional varieties of Spanish, Italian and Latin. These processes are generally associated with grammatical phenomena such as quantification, definition, temporality and modality, among others. Line 2 will investigate the problems in language development in children of school age from Santa Fe. Both lines will work with the regional varieties of Spanish, and line 1 will also contrast the data with other related languages, such as Italian and Latin. The theoretical framework of reference is the Generative Grammar and, within this research framework, the microparametric approach will be encouraged, which argues that linguistic varieties can be explained in terms of minimum differences (Poletto, 2000), especially observable in lexical features and the functional lexicon (Kayne, 2004; Cinque 1
