The construction of the solar heaters was made with low cost materials and available in any local commerce. The system is monitored using a data acquisition built by students of the electronic engineering career as a final project work topic. The study of the functioning of the system was carried out by measuring and storing the relevant variables: temperatures throughout the collecting area, water´s temperature at the collector and in the container tank, ambient temperature and solar radiation, which allowed obtaining the collector thermal performance of 45%.
