HEC-HMS software was implemented using the Soil Conservation Service curve number method, the Muskingum method for flood flow, and the Kirpich formula for sub-basin times of concentration. The reference hydrographs were obtained from the calibration results of the upper Sauce Grande River basin model, upstream of the Paso de las Piedras Reservoir. Excellent to good fits were achieved for all nine events. The model is a unique contribution to the study basin, as no previous hydrological simulations are known. Se presenta la modelación de la cuenca del arroyo El Negro, que es una subcuenca del río Sauce Grande en la provincia de Buenos Aires, en base a calibraciones previas. Se introdujeron los datos a QGIS para sistematizar diversas fuentes de información. Se implementó el software HEC-HMS con el método del número de curva del Soil Conservation Service, el método de Muskingum para el tránsito de crecida y la fórmula de Kirpich para los tiempos de concentración de las subcuencas. Los hidrogramas de referencia fueron los obtenidos de los resultados de la calibración del modelo cuenca alta del río Sauce grande aguas arriba del embalse Paso de las Piedras. Se lograron ajustes excelentes a buenos para los 9 eventos. El modelo es un aporte original para la cuenca en estudio, ya que no se conocen antecedentes de simulaciones hidrológicas.
