Sumario:The work presents an academic experiential-education outreach project developed within the Licenciatura en Diseño Industrial program at Asociación Civil Dignidad y Vida Sana, located in the Complejo Ambiental of the city of Santa Fe. The objective was to help improve the experience and management of waste—promoting citizen awareness—by transferring academic learning to a local case study. A Human-Centered Design methodology was employed, carried out by 15 student teams of three members each. Initial findings revealed mismatches in the use and treatment of incoming waste and limited public awareness of the impact of household waste management. The resulting projects strengthen professional training, generate solution proposals for the identified problems, and reinforce the university-community connection.
