This paper presents the results of the project “Analysis of trajectories of graduates from the Faculty of Humanities and Educational Sciences (FHCE/ UdelaR/ Uruguay) between 2011 and 2021 and strengthening of professional profiles”. This project aimed to analyze the relationship between the training profiles of graduates and their job placement to guide future institutional decisions. In this framework, it was proposed: to survey and organize the already existing institutional knowledge about various cohorts of graduates in their relationship with the world of work, to know the demands and needs that graduates pose to degree training and to generate possible lines of work to strengthen the professional trajectories of FHCE graduates.
The methodological approach used in this research is mixed and combines quantitative and qualitative techniques. The sources of information come from institutional databases and a survey carried out for the purposes of this work.
The research concludes that FHCE graduates demand tools to connect with the world of work and improve their job placement. Curricula need to be updated and curriculum spaces incorporated to address potential career development paths. The actual length of bachelor's degrees is a challenge, requiring greater coordination between training, student needs, and job opportunities. Finally, the importance of ongoing monitoring of graduates to evaluate and improve training options is highlighted. |

El siguiente trabajo presenta parte de los resultados del proyecto “Análisis de trayectorias de egresados de la Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación (FHCE/ UdelaR/ Uruguay) entre 2011 y 2021 y fortalecimiento de los perfiles profesionales”. Este proyecto tuvo como objetivo, analizar la relación entre los perfiles formativos de los egresados y su inserción laboral para orientar futuras decisiones institucionales. En este marco, se planteó: relevar y ordenar el conocimiento institucional ya existente sobre diversas cohortes de egresados en su relación con el mundo del trabajo, conocer las demandas y necesidades que los egresados plantean a la formación de grado y generar posibles líneas de trabajo para el fortalecimiento de las trayectorias profesionales de los egresados de la FHCE. El enfoque metodológico utilizado en esta investigación es mixto y combinó técnicas cuantitativas y cualitativas. Las fuentes de información provienen de bases de datos institucionales y de una encuesta realizada a los efectos de este trabajo. La investigación permite concluir que los egresados de la FHCE reclaman de su formación herramientas para vincularse con el mundo del trabajo y mejorar su inserción laboral. Es necesario actualizar los planes de estudio e incorporar espacios curriculares para aproximarse a posibles trayectorias de desarrollo profesional. Existe un desafío en la duración real de las licenciaturas, lo que requiere una mayor articulación entre formación, necesidades de los estudiantes y oportunidades laborales. Finalmente, se resalta la importancia de un seguimiento continuo de los egresados para evaluar y mejorar las propuestas formativas.
