Sumario:Phenological observations were made on two endosares set up in two diíTerent natural herbaceous communities, the "flechilla»’’ and the "pradera salada”, in the Partido de Magdalena, Province of Buenos Aires, between 1974 and 1976. Eight phenological phases were described for the most frequent spcdes of each plant community. Those phenological phases were: (l)green foliage; (2) tnftorescertce (flower) emergence; (3) anthesis; (4) green fituits; (S) matute fniits; (6) sheddíng of fruits; (7) yetlow foliage; and (S) dead plant.In general, phases 1 to 6 were shorter in the "pradera salada" than in the "fiechillar”; conrespondingly, phases 7 and 8 were longer ín the former than in the latter plant community.
