Eight phenological phases were described for the most frequent spcdes of each plant community. Those phenological phases were: (l)green foliage; (2) tnftorescertce (flower) emergence; (3) anthesis; (4) green fituits; (S) matute fniits; (6) sheddíng of fruits; (7) yetlow foliage; and (S) dead plant.In general, phases 1 to 6 were shorter in the "pradera salada" than in the "fiechillar”; conrespondingly, phases 7 and 8 were longer ín the former than in the latter plant community.
