We will focus the study on the Eva Perón Museum of the Chapadmalal Tourist Unit (UTCH), a vacation complex located on the sea coast of southeastern Buenos Aires, which began to be built during the first Peronist presidency. Until now, the complex has been affected by discontinuous State policies, which favoured or put at risk the state of the buildings and the continuity of their operation. En este trabajo nos interesa reflexionar acerca de las tensiones ligadas a la preservación y conservación patrimonial en Argentina en espacios concebidos en el marco de políticas públicas ligadas al turismo social. Focalizaremos el estudio en el Museo Eva Perón de la Unidad Turística Chapadmalal (UTCH), complejo vacacional ubicado en la costa marítima del sudeste bonaerense que se comenzó a construir durante la primera presidencia peronista y, hasta la actualidad, fue afectado por políticas de Estado discontinuas, que favorecieron o pusieron en riesgo el estado de los edificios y la continuidad de su funcionamiento.
