Thus, five periods are examined in which various disciplinary proposals emerge projects of utilitarian Geography, regional Geography, social Geography and Geopolitics were defined. It is understood that in the fifth period, previous perspectives coexist alongside newly emerging ones. The analysis of each stage takes into account the interaction between the context and the organizations of institutions, the performance of certain scholars, the writing of key texts and the struggles between different positions. El presente escrito tiene como objetivo identificar algunos de los proyectos de Geografía que fueron definiéndose desde inicios del siglo XIX hasta la actualidad en Argentina. Así, se examinan cinco períodos en los que emergen diversas propuestas disciplinarias de Geografía utilitaria, de Geografía regional, de Geografía social y de Geopolítica. Se entiende que en el quinto periodo conviven las perspectivas anteriores a las que se añaden otras de emergencia reciente. El análisis de cada etapa se realiza teniendo en cuenta la interacción entre el contexto y la formación de instituciones, el desempeño de ciertos especialistas, la escritura de textos clave y las disputas entre distintas posturas.
