Sumario:This article analyzes the hybridizationbetween the public and the private incommercial architectural projects, based on experiences in the argentinenortheastern (NEA). Two projects arepresented: the “Paddy” café and the“Guácaras Food & Drinks Park” gastronomic park, both winners of the “ARQFADEA 2024-2025 National Award”. Theprojects are interpreted under the premise of “urbanizing the private”, whichimplies integrating elements of publicspace into private developments to generate a positive impact on the community. The study reveals how commercialarchitecture can transcend its functionaland economic purpose to promote spaces for social interaction, contributing tourban cohesion. Through theoretical andtechnical reflection, the challenges andachievements of these projects are explored, highlighting the role of the architect in the creation of hybrid spaces thatdilute the traditional boundaries betweenthe public and the private. Hybridization, both spatial and functional, is seen as atool to revitalize the urban environmentand encourage the collective use of private areas, transforming them into meeting points for society.
