The theoretical framework underpinning this research combines the analytical category of social representations (Jodelet, 1993) and linguistic representations (Petitjean, 2009) with qualitative ethnographic techniques (Guber, 2001). The corpus was systematized and built from firsthand material collected between 2019 and 2023. It includes semi-structured interviews and field notes gathered from eight visits to the field. The identification of linguistic representations was based on the search for signifiers associated with the lexemes "moqoit," "mocoví," and around referents such as "language," "indigenous language," "school," among others. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar, desde una perspectiva sociolingüística, representaciones sobre el moqoit y el español presentes en un corpus lingüístico recopilado en una escuela rural con estudiantes moqoit, situada en el Paraje rural Las Tolderías (Charata, Chaco). El marco teórico que sustenta esta investigación articula la categoría analítica de representaciones sociales (Jodelet 1993) y lingüísticas (Petitjean 2009) con técnicas cualitativas de la etnografía (Guber 2001). El corpus de análisis fue sistematizado y construido a partir del material recopilado de primera mano entre el 2019 y el 2023. El mismo reúne entrevistas semidirigidas y registros de campo elaborados a partir de ocho visitas al campo. La identificación de las representaciones lingüísticas se basó en la búsqueda de significantes asociados a los lexemas “moqoit” “mocoví” y en torno a referentes tales como “lengua”, “lengua indígena”, “escuela”, entre otros.
