This would change with the appearance of Beatriz Viterbo (1991-), with the subsequent emergence of other publishing houses, such as Bibliele (1995-2006), and with the participation of members of the UNR Literature program in public publishing projects, such as the Editorial Municipal de Rosario (1991-). This article focuses on the links between the UNR Literature Department and the publishing field since the last decade of the 20th century, besides university presses. Thus, this paper aims to reflect on the influence of humanistic university courses in the publishing area of cities that could be considered semi-peripheral in the country’s cultural geography. A pesar de la animación de la Escuela de Letras de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario (UNR) a partir de la transición democrática, en dicha ciudad no existían editoriales que buscaran incluir en sus catálogos la producción de los jóvenes escritores y críticos locales formados en ese ámbito. Esto empezaría a cambiar con la aparición de Beatriz Viterbo (1991) y el posterior surgimiento de otros sellos, como Bibliele (1995-2006), y con la participación de miembros de la Escuela de Letras de la UNR en proyectos editoriales públicos, como la Editorial Municipal de Rosario (1991). Este artículo se concentra en los vínculos entre la Escuela de Letras de la UNR y el campo editorial a partir de la última década del siglo XX, más allá de los sellos universitarios. De este modo, se propone reflexionar sobre la incidencia de las carreras universitarias humanísticas en el desarrollo del sector editorial de ciudades semi-periféricas en la geografía cultural del país.
