Sumario:In this article we propose to study the book Historias de desaparecidos y aparecidos, a set of transpositions of oral testimonies pronounced in the context of cases of crimesagainst humanity perpetrated during the last Argentinian dictatorship into the expressive language of the comic strip. This articulation between such diverse languages and discourses gives the work a novel character, which makes it stand out within the framework of the graphic testimonial genre. The work stands out as a ‘testimonial comic strip’ that documents the violence and arbitrariness during the last Argentinian dictatorship. Through the use of testimonies and elements of popular culture, this comic book reflects the state of exception and the struggle for human rights. Thus, Historias de desaparecidos y aparecidos not only documents a political catastrophe but also educates and encourages ethical debate about critical historical events.
