The absence of planning is one of the inherent characteristics of these processes. In this framework, in the city of La Plata, housing has similar characteristics, however, a high percentage has characteristics of urban consolidation that would allow them to receive construction im provements, and, therefore, increase the quality of life of the population. The development of a methodology that allows identifying the housing status of said homes and proposing improvement guidelines in relation to minimum, medium or maximum interventions depending on the case is presented. As a result, it is observed that 22% of the neighborhood requiresminimum interventions, 75.5% medium interventionsand 2.5% maximum interventions.

Frente a esta situación y a un mercado habitacional informal, las viviendas suelen ser precarias y con nulo o reducido acceso a servicios básicos. La ausencia de planificación es una de las características inherentes a estos procesos. En este marco, en la ciudad de La Plata, las viviendas presentan características similares, sin embargo, un alto porcentaje posee características de consolidación urbana que les permitiría recibir mejoras constructivas, y, por lo tanto, incrementar la calidad de vida de la población. Se presenta el desarrollo de una metodología que permite identificar el estado habitacional de esas viviendas y proponer lineamientos de mejora en relación con intervenciones mínimas, medias o máximas, según el caso. Como resultado, se observa que el 22% del barrio requiere  intervenciones mínimas, el 75,5 % intervenciones medias y el 2,5% intervenciones máximas. No contexto do habitat popular, o acesso à habitaçãoocorre normalmente sob diversas lógicas e atores, mas tendo como denominador comum a falta de recursoseconómicos. Perante esta situação, e um mercado habitacional informal, a habitação é normalmente precária e com nenhum ou reduzido acesso aos serviços básicos. A ausência de planejamento é uma das características inerentes a esses processos. Neste quadro, na cidade de La Plata, as moradias apresentam características semelhantes, porém, um elevado percentual apresenta características de consolidação urbana que lhes permitiriam receber melhorias construtivas e, portanto, aumentar a qualidade de vida da população. É apresentado o desenvolvimento deuma metodologia que permite identificar o estado dasituação habitacional das referidas moradias e propordiretrizes de melhoria em relação a intervençõesmínimas, médias ou máximas dependendo do caso.
