The proposal is based on the absence of a method of technological analysis of current architectural production. Likewise, the need to have an architectural analysis tool that responds to the complexities of the great architectural works of the third millennium is raised. Based on Vitruvius' triadic proposal (utility, firmness and beauty) underlying every work of architecture, notions of technological thinking, creative thinking, complex thinking, technological transfer and technological innovation are applied, complemented with sustainability in architecture. In this way, applying the so-called technological transposition mechanisms, a strategic analysis methodology is developed - also applicable to design - of the architectural work. Se expone la elaboración y puesta a prueba de un método de análisis e interpretación de obras de arquitectura incorporando la dimensión tecnológica, aplicando una herramienta de análisis inédita: la “Trasposición Tecnológica”. La propuesta se sustenta en la ausencia de un método de análisis tecnológico de la producción arquitectónica actual. Asimismo, se plantea la necesidad de contar con una herramienta de análisis arquitectónico que dé respuesta a las complejidades de las grandes obras de arquitectura del tercer milenio. Basándose en la propuesta triádica de Vitruvio (utilidad, firmeza y belleza) subyacente en toda obra de arquitectura, se aplican nociones de pensamiento tecnológico, pensamiento creativo, pensamiento complejo, trasferencia tecnológica e innovación tecnológica, complementados con la sustentabilidad en arquitectura. De este modo, aplicando los denominados mecanismos de transposición tecnológica, se elabora una metodología estratégica de análisis -también aplicable al diseño-, de la obra arquitectónica.
