In this regard, the article is based on the construction of architectural knowledge in a training instance, with the purpose of promoting the development of disciplinary competencies. The case study[s] is recovered as a teaching resource, investigating its relevance in project thinking. Consequently, we chose to explore the main auditorium of the Kirchner Cultural Center, Blue Whale, with the conviction of providing tools that collaborate with the comprehensive understanding of various skills associated with acoustics. Methodologically, it is delimited in a qualitative approach, with a descriptive-interpretive purpose. It concludes regarding training that promotes project knowledge based on a mediated conjunction between prescriptive and critical-reflective logics. La docencia de la arquitectura, tanto en su enseñanza como aprendizaje, se expresa a través de procesos complejos. Al respecto, el artículo se funda en la construcción de conocimiento arquitectónico en instancia formativa, con el propósito de fomentar el desarrollo de competencias disciplinares. Se recupera el estudio de caso[s] como recurso de enseñanza, indagando respecto de su relevancia en el pensamiento proyectual. En consecuencia se opta por explorar el auditorio principal del Centro Cultural Kirchner, Ballena Azul, con la convicción de brindar herramientas que colaboren con la comprensión integral de diversas habilidades asociadas con la acústica. Metodológicamente, se delimita en un enfoque cualitativo, con propósito descriptivo interpretativo.
