In the second case, according to the statements by the indigenous man Timoteo Francia. This approach is based on the scarce exploration of this concept in indigenous knowledge and the motivation for an intertwining of concepts based on the inter-epocal dialogue with the medieval philosopher Saint Augustine. It will be shown that both thinkers aim for an idea of freedom and its components in a dissimilar way. The first of them seeks to discover the source of Evil, since there is a deity in the world that expresses the supreme Good. The second one, on the other hand, attempts to challenge a concept given from a western perspective. Thus, from the standpoint of philosophical anthropology and based on anthropological studies, we will analyze some issues linked to the concept in discussion. With respect to the Augustinian perspective, we will introduce the notion of God, Individual, Will and Freewill. For Timoteo Francia's approach, we will introduce the notions of the social body, non-human beings and material freedom. In general guidelines, we attempt to understand how each aspect of the concept of freedom is conceived from an intercultural point of view. El presente artículo tiene por tema contrastes y disparidades entre la concepción de libertad individual e interna en San Agustín y, la noción de libertad colectiva y material en la cosmovisión Qom, de acuerdo con las consideraciones del indígena Timoteo Francia. Motiva su abordaje, la escasa exploración sobre dicho concepto en saberes indígenas y el interés por un entrecruzamiento de ideas a partir del diálogo interepocal con el filósofo medieval San Agustín, dado que ambos persiguen una idea de libertad y sus componentes de manera disímil, ya sea porque uno intenta descubrir la causa del mal, en tanto y en cuanto, existe en el mundo una deidad que representa el sumo Bien o porque el otro procura disputar un concepto dado desde categorías occidentales. Así pues, desde la antropológica filosófica y basándonos en estudios antropológicos desarrollaremos algunos aspectos vinculados al concepto en cuestión. En lo que concierne a la perspectiva agustiniana se expondrá la noción de Dios, individuo, voluntad y libre arbitrio; por otro lado, con Francia se planteará la cuestión en torno al cuerpo social, seres no-humanos y libertad material. En líneas generales, se intenta vislumbrar como es concebido cada aspecto que nuclea al concepto de libertad desde una mirada intercultural. Universidad Nacional del Nordeste.
