In this work, the landscape units in the flood plain of a section of the Santa Lucia River, belonging to the Paraná River basin, were mapped with the attributes of the hydrosedimentological pulse for different landscape units. Planimetric surveys were carried out and the landscape units were classified using the Ecological Land Classification system and mapped using supervised classification. Using Pulso software, FITRAS attributes were calculated for each landscape unit. which were then summarized, explained and grouped according to similarities and differences, using multivariate analysis methods. Maps of pulse attributes were made establishing 4 categories according to the correlation and similarity between them. Through the mapping it was determined that the vegetation maintains a certain pattern of organization in each section of the river, the trees, shrubs and herbs occupy different positions in the topographic gradient, remaining most of the year in high water (lakes), sand bars, marshes with short and tall grasses, and in low water, marshes with shrubs, marshes with tall grasses and palms and forests dominated by one species and mixed riparian forests. The similarities and differences in the distribution of these landscape units allowed the development of the flood zoning map.  Matching the landscape of the flood plain with the pulse rate and processing of satellite images provides a useful tool for flood management.

La dinámica pulsátil condiciona las características, la permanencia y distribución del paisaje fluvial y la ocupación urbana. En este trabajo se cartografiaron las unidades de paisaje en la llanura de inundación de un tramo del río Santa Lucía, perteneciente a la cuenca del Río Paraná, generándose mapas con los atributos del pulso hidrosedimentológico para distintas unidades de paisaje. Se realizaron relevamientos planialtimétricos y se clasificaron las unidades de paisaje utilizando el sistema de Clasificación Ecológica de Tierras cartografiándolas mediante clasificación supervisada. Con el software Pulso se calcularon los atributos FITRAS para cada unidad de paisaje que fueron resumidos, explicados y agrupados de acuerdo con las similitudes y diferencias, utilizando métodos de análisis multivariado. Se realizaron mapas de atributos de pulso estableciendo 4 categorías de acuerdo con la correlación y similitud entre éstos. A través del mapeo se determinó que la vegetación mantiene un determinado patrón de organización en cada tramo del río, los árboles, arbustos y hierbas ocupan distintas posiciones en el gradiente topográfico, permaneciendo la mayor parte del año en aguas altas las lagunas, las playas, las barras de arena los bañados con pastos cortos, con hierbas altas y tiernas y en aguas bajas los bañados con arbustos, con pastos altos y duros y con palmas y los bosques dominados por una especie y los pluriespecíficos. Las similitudes y diferencias en la distribución de estas unidades de paisaje, permitió la elaboración del mapa de zonificación de las inundaciones.
