The abundance, diversity, species richness and equitability of phytoplankton in aquatic environments were analyzed in three seasons of the year, 2008-2009, and chemical and physical variables of the environment were taken in situ. The large lagoons of the Mburucuyá National Park are dominated by the Cyanobacteria group, particularly Raphidiopsis raciborskii, which is a potential producer of cyanotoxins. The limnological variables correspond to lagoons with anthropic effects, in this case historically marked by agriculture and livestock. For this reason, it is proposed to implement environmental monitoring in order to record the limnological and phytoplankton evolution of these wetlands, which for decades were affected by human activities. El objetivo de este trabajo fue contribuir al conocimiento de la diversidad del fitoplancton y caracterización limnológica de los humedales que se encuentran protegidos en el Parque Nacional Mburucuyá. Se analizó la abundancia, diversidad, riqueza de especies y equitatividad del fitoplancton en ambientes acuáticos en tres estaciones del año, 2008-2009 y se tomaron in situ variables químicas y físicas del ambiente. Las grandes lagunas del Parque Nacional Mburucuyá presentan predominio del grupo Cyanobacteria, particularmente Raphidiopsis raciborskii, la cual es potencial productora de cianotoxinas. Las variables limnológicas corresponden a lagunas con efectos antrópicos, en este caso marcados históricamente por la agricultura y ganadería. Por este motivo, se propone implementar un monitoreo ambiental, con el fin, registrar la evolución limnológica y del fitoplancton de estos humedales, los cuales durante décadas fueron afectados por actividades humanas.
