| Sumario: | The article analyzes the capitals of Argentinian Northeastern in light of the concept of City-region.
It presents a theoretical review and preliminary advances of two case studies: the “City-Region of Gran Corrientes” and the “City-Region of Formosa Capital”. Both capitals have experienced an accelerated process of growth and territorial expansion in recent decades, configuring complex territories, with interconnected spaces, very different from each other, which have blurred the boundaries between urban and rural. The methodology is qualitative-quantitative, based on bibliographic review and documentary and spatial analysis. The results contribute to revitalize territorial planning in the Argentinian Northeast. |
