Sumario:The analysis of the energy efficiency of social housing, located in the Concepción neighborhood of Corrientes, Argentina, is addressed. The objective is to analyze the energy performance index (IPE) of social housing, to rehabilitate it energetically, reducing its energy consumption and reflecting an improvement in the result of the IPE, which when a label is available for Corrientes, will allow the housing to be classified in the efficiency scale. Energy rehabilitation is presented as an alternative to be used in the residential sector, since it extends the useful life of buildings, holistically improving their performance and considering environmental factors to “correct” existing problems. In this way, through rehabilitation, the reduction in energy consumption would mean a reduction in the indiscriminate emission of C02 (Carbon Dioxide), helping to combat one of the main greenhouse gases and therefore the consequent global warming and climate change.
