The objective is to analyze the energy performance index (IPE) of social housing, to rehabilitate it energetically, reducing its energy consumption and reflecting an improvement in the result of the IPE, which when a label is available for Corrientes, will allow the housing to be classified in the efficiency scale. Energy rehabilitation is presented as an alternative to be used in the residential sector, since it extends the useful life of buildings, holistically improving their performance and considering environmental factors to “correct” existing problems. In this way, through rehabilitation, the reduction in energy consumption would mean a reduction in the indiscriminate emission of C02 (Carbon Dioxide), helping to combat one of the main greenhouse gases and therefore the consequent global warming and climate change.  Se aborda el análisis de la eficiencia energética de viviendas de interés social, localizadas en el Barrio Concepción de Corrientes, Argentina. El objetivo es analizar el índice de prestaciones energéticas (IPE) de viviendas sociales, para rehabilitarlas energéticamente, disminuyendo su consumo energético y plasmando una mejora en el resultado del IPE, que cuando se disponga de una etiqueta para Corrientes, permitirá clasificar a la vivienda en la escala de eficiencia. La rehabilitación energética se presenta como alternativa a utilizarse en el sector residencial, ya que amplía la vida útil de las edificaciones, mejorando holísticamente su desempeño y contemplando factores ambientales para “corregir” problemáticas existentes. De esta manera, por medio de la rehabilitación, la disminución del consumo energético significaría una reducción de la emisión indiscriminada de C02 (Dióxido de Carbono), colaborando a combatir uno de los principales gases de efecto invernadero y por ende el consecuente calentamiento global y cambio climático.
