The standard came into force in 2020. Official data on the first results are not yet available. Instead, a market of experts and consulting firms is expanding; opening a zone of interpretation with significant doses of ambiguity in their risk prevention offerings. This recent regulation, as has happened with teleworking, can remain active in the letter and passive or attenuated in the facts. There are indications of interpretations that will seek to lighten its burden. Here we offer, in the form of an essay, an approach to the context and analyze the socio-economic factors of the process; some of the approaches to risk assessment and the views of compliance by companies; it also opens the invitation to expand the approach to the problem in the face of a growing market dedicated to the incorporation of algorithmic management of work processes, with obvious implications for the health and mental condition of the working population.  En una economía como la mexicana, a la que podemos llamar crónicamente deprimida, (un 95% de empresas son micro empresas, con una tasa de informalidad de poco más de 55% de la Población Económicamente Activa y un proceso de precarización en la zona formal de empleo); resulta complejo hacer cumplir la norma para la prevención de los Riesgos Psicosociales del Trabajo. La norma entró en vigor en el año 2020. No existen aún datos oficiales sobre los primeros resultados. En cambio, un mercado de empresas consultoras se expande; abriendo una zona de interpretación con importantes dosis de ambigüedad en su oferta de prevención de riesgos. Esta reciente norma, al igual que ha pasado con la de teletrabajo, puede quedar activa en la letra y pasiva o atenuada en los hechos. Surgen indicios de interpretaciones que buscarán aligerar su carga. Aquí se ofrece, en forma de ensayo, una aproximación al contexto y se analizan los factores socioeconómicos del proceso; algunos de los enfoques para la valoración de riesgos y las visiones de su cumplimiento por parte de las empresas; abre además la invitación a ampliar el planteamiento de la problemática ante la incorporación de gestión algorítmica de los procesos de trabajo, con obvias incidencias en la salud y condición mental de la población trabajadora.
