| Sumario: | In line with the new demands of the agri-food market, starting in 2020 and 2021, for fruit and horticultural production respectively, the mandatory implementation of Good Agricultural Practices came into force in Argentina. However, prior to this provision, several producers had already implemented them and even certified them. The objective of this work is to address the situation in which the differentiation of fruit and vegetable production in the district of General Pueyrredon was prior to the aforementioned obligation, identifying the profile of the producers involved and the motivation that guided them on that path. For the approach, qualitative methodological techniques are selected, combining various sources and procedures. The results at the local level made it possible to identify farms that differentiated and certified their production until 2020, with producers coexisting in different stages of the process. The reasons for adopting the differentiation of their crops lie largely in the motivation that guided them and in the destination of the production. |
