This gives rise to processes of commodification in rural territories. In Figueroa, the expansion of the agricultural borders ocurred in family farming clustering. These dynamics were neither continuous nor homogenous. It is therefore possible to identify different phases and zones. This article seeks to understand the complexity and particularities of the processes that favoured the persistence of family farming. This analysis is carried out on the basis of a cartography elaborated from different databases. The results obtained on Figueroa contribute to the conceptual debates on the forms of territorialisation of capital in agriculture and the plurality of responses of family farmers to prevent their dispossession. This also leads us to discuss the strategies of resistance that are generated in a context of high levels of conflict over natural resources. Los fenómenos de pérdida de bosque suelen ser denominados como procesos de conversión a otros usos de la tierra y se asocian con el avance de la frontera agropecuaria. Esto da lugar a procesos de mercantilización en los territorios rurales. En Figueroa (Santiago del Estero), la expansión de la frontera agropecuaria se produce sobre áreas de concentración de la agricultura familiar. Estas dinámicas no fueron continuas ni homogéneas. Por lo tanto, es posible identificar distintas fases y zonas. Precisamente, el artículo busca comprender la complejidad y particularidades de los procesos que favorecieron la persistencia de la agricultura familiar. Dicho análisis se realiza sobre la base de una cartografía elaborada a partir de diferentes bases de datos. Los resultados obtenidos sobre Figueroa abonan los debates conceptuales en torno a las formas de territorialización del capital sobre el agro y la pluralidad de respuestas de los agricultores familiares para evitar su desposesión. Esto conlleva también discutir las estrategias de resistencia que se generan en contexto de alta conflictividad por los recursos naturales.
