It starts from the free articulation of the notions of “Problematization” (Castel) and “Theorization” (Swedberg). Then, it addresses in detail the three operational “moments” involved in the proposal: first, the “set-up” supposes the initial decision making regarding the way of tackling the study object. Second, the “start-up” refers to the moment of deployment of the analytical process itself. And, finally, as a conclusion, the “self-reflexive closure” looks back in retrospective upon the path travelled in order to identify emergencies, recurrences, tensions, which enable the setting of new trajectories, questions and hypotheses. To illustrate all this, the article draws upon the “case” of the successive re-problematizations of the urban question in the work of Gino Germani. Este artículo presenta el “proceso de reproblematización teórica” como una propuesta metodológica especialmente diseñada para llevar adelante investigaciones sociológicas eminentemente teóricas. Parte de la libre articulación de las nociones de “problematización” de Robert Castel y de “teorización” de Richard Swedberg. Luego, aborda en detalle los tres “momentos” operativos implicados en la propuesta: primero, la “puesta a punto” supone la toma de ciertas decisiones iniciales en lo que refiere al modo de abordaje del objeto de estudio. Segundo, la “puesta en marcha” refiere al momento de despliegue del proceso analítico propiamente dicho. Y, finalmente, a modo de conclusión, el “cierre autorreflexivo” propone una mirada retrospectiva sobre el camino recorrido, con el fin de identificar emergencias, recurrencias, tensiones, que habiliten la apertura de nuevas trayectorias, preguntas e hipótesis. Para ilustrar todo esto, se echa mano del “caso” de las sucesivas reproblematizaciones de la cuestión urbana en la obra de Gino Germani. Centro de Estudio Sociales.
