Sumario:Attributive predicates are a class of non-verbal predication in which the predicate expresses a concept attribution (quality, attribute, property) to an argument. This paper describes and analyzes attributive predicates in Toba of Western Formosa (guaicuruan, Argentina). The data analyzed shows that one the main strategies used to identify this type of predicates is word order. This mechanism allows the attributive predicates to differentiate from nominal predicates that present a similar formal structure, but express different semantic relations. The main goal of this study is to contribute to the knowledge of non-verbal predication in Toba of Western Formosa.
