This paper describes and analyzes attributive predicates in Toba of Western Formosa (guaicuruan, Argentina). The data analyzed shows that one the main strategies used to identify this type of predicates is word order. This mechanism allows the attributive predicates to differentiate from nominal predicates that present a similar formal structure, but express different semantic relations. The main goal of this study is to contribute to the knowledge of non-verbal predication in Toba of Western Formosa. Los predicados atributivos corresponden a una clase de predicación no verbal en la que el predicado expresa la atribución de un concepto (cualidad, atributo, propiedad) a un argumento. En este trabajo se describe y analiza el uso de los predicados atributivos en toba del oeste de Formosa (guaycurú, Argentina). Los datos analizados muestran que una de las estrategias utilizadas para identificar este tipo de predicados es el orden de palabras. Este mecanismo permite diferenciar los predicados atributivos de los predicados nominales que presentan una estructura formal similar, pero expresan relaciones semánticas de otro tipo. El objetivo de este estudio es contribuir al conocimiento sobre la predicación no-verbal en la variedad toba hablada en el oeste de Formosa. Universidad Nacional del Nordeste.
