| Sumario: | The Querandí language suffered a history of silencing and invisibility that has recently begun to be reversed. Spoken in the area of the current provinces of Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, and some areas of Córdoba and San Luis, since the 19th century Querandi language has ceased to be mentioned in studies and in the 20th it was considered extinct. However, it continued to be transmitted orally within Querandí families. At present, the members of the Querandí Nation have undertaken an internal reclamation action, based on the articulation of community memory and reappropriation of the traditional territory. This action invloved a joint collaboration with linguist researchers from the project "Interacciones entre lenguas y territorios en el pasado y en el presente. Ecología lingüística en Fuegopatagonia" and allowed for the creation of the Mirrí team. In this paper we develop the main aspects of this process, in which joint and collaborative work have remarkable presence. |
