| Sumario: | This paper presents an academic experience performed on the inside of a project workshop course of the School of Architecture, which consisted of the designing and construction of a prototype of equipment made with the Steel framing system. Proposing new uses for an existing construction system implied an innovation in the use of construction technology. On the one hand, the design obtained is the result of a university research and extension activity, which involves the Technology Area and the Project Area. On the other hand, such equipment is the product of a creative process in which teachers and students participated, which constitutes an exploration of new teaching modalities. The article develops the process followed in the experience, presents and comments on the results obtained and reflects on the activity performed. |
