Philosophy, feminism… ¿and indigenism? Critical genealogies against to the epistemic violence south of the south

In this article, I inquire into the potential articulation of philosophy and feminisms in the local and global geopolitical South, specifically focusing on the Patagonian territory. I argue that this examination is limited to the following question: What kind of philosophy and what kind of feminisms...

I argue that this examination is limited to the following question: What kind of philosophy and what kind of feminisms? I advance that answering this dual question implies subordinate notions—recognizing the epistemic violence that marginalizes and renders invisible the ideas, knowledge, and perspectives of marginalized identities (such as women and indigenous diversities), and recognizing that this violence is intertwined with other forms of violence within a complex framework shaped by social relations of oppression and resistance to such oppression. Finally, I propose the development of critical genealogies, from an intersectional perspective, that allow us to demonstrate the inseparable articulation between academia and activism in our local context. Additionally, I propose advancing the recognition and visibility of the epistemic-political foundations supporting experiences of oppression and resistance by women and indigenous diversities in Puelmapu, leading to the question: Is possible talk to “feminism and indigenism”?
