This article analyzes the livedexperiences of women deprived of their liberty in the Nayarit state prison with a history of drug addiction. Through interviewsand open dialogue (during 2022), the history of drug consumption was investigated within the framework of other factors ofpre-penitentiary social exclusion, at the “La Esperanza” Women’s Social Reintegration Center in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico.
