description This work aims to shed light on the philosophy of law in general and Hans Kelsen’s pure theory of law in particular from a methodical perspective that attends to it’s presuppositional structure, built on two axes: philosophy of knowledge and ethics. Through a systematic and progressive exposition of the key concepts that compose the system in question, with the critical aid of secondary sources, a study of both the doctrinal elements and their relations and consequences will be conducted in order to arrive to a comprehensive consideration about the author and a problematization of the usual ways of categorizing, opting for an all-inclusive picture that conceives him on light of his fundamental presuppositions.
