description Throughout his restless life, St Augustine took him to explore cities, cultures and religions in his own search for himself. Desirous of finding something that completes it, whose enterprise obtained its culminating moment in the conjugation of reason and faith obtaining within itself its maximum truth. Understanding the power of Christianity of his time, he fused it with his knowledge of Platonic philosophy, turning them to ethics, morality, law and politics, seeking peace in a hostile environment, at a critical time in the Roman Empire, biased by invasions and looting, motivating hope in men.The proposal of the exploratory work is man in his double situation, on the one hand, mundane and that of at least wanting to return to the divine, How does he reconcile his double situation in his existence with the temporal and divine law mentioned in his work De libero arbitrio? Saint Augustine resolves this on a moral level, but he must also resolve it on a political level, for the Holy Father we are pilgrims in this world, man must resemble his divine plan, peace, so what he has to seek with the laws is peace, concord, is in this sense the positive vision of the state that can establish concord in the state, as it was stated in the book XIX of The City of God.From this proposal it is proposed to go through a specific bibliography of the works of the Saint of Hippo as De Libero Arbitrio, Civitas Dei, taking auxiliary approaches of secondary literature. What is intended to contribute minimally is an ethical and political conceptual reconstruction of Saint Augustine in his unsystematic work.
