Sumario:This article deals with the evolution of the Digital Geographical journal, edited by the Institute of Geography of the National University of the Northeast, Argentina. The purpose is to analyze its editorial line, the profile of its publications and the type of works it admits, as well as the status of the journal based on the indexing achieved so far, considering the recent period of the last ten years. This article allows us to understand its status, as a periodical scientific publication, the type of journal, its scope and future projection. The approach projects different views from the Information Sciences, through qualitative methods of evaluation of the processes of scientific diffusion. The results show a promising situation, due to the diversity of works and authors and its constant hierarchy between journals of the discipline and of Social and Human Sciences, as well as the overcoming of the inbred publication circuits that prevailed until 2018.
