Sumario:Verg. ecl. 1, 69 has been subject of very different interpretations from the ancient commentaries to the editions, commentaries and studies of our own days. The aim of our contribution is not to provide a new solution, but rather to review the existing readings in order to reflect on the question of which the verse is part of (vv. 67-69). The possible allusion to the figure of Odysseus in it opens up the possibility to enrich the interpretation of the poem as a whole.
