Sin desconocer la dimensión política de toda actuación pastoral inserta en una comunidad concreta, Mons. Angelelli explicitó e hizo jugar a favor de los pobres su condición de obispo de la Iglesia Católica reafirmándose en la Biblia y su Magisterio. Como bien se lo ha definido fue obispo del Concilio. Y por su coherencia en el compromiso asumido para hacerlo realidad fue martirizado. They chose their target because they knew his career. If you had to annihilate those who sought a fundamental change regarding the situations of injustice, Bishop Enrique Angelelli should be eliminated. Without ignoring the political dimension of all pastoral action inserted in a particular community, Mgr. Angelelli play and made explicit pro-poor their status as bishop of the Catholic Church reaffirming the Bible and the Magisterium. As it is well defined what was bishop of the Council. And consistency in the commitment to make it happen was martyred.
