It is possible to connect his architectural thought with a typology of contribution to the discipline that should be considered fruit of the empirical dimension of his work. The procedures and the syntactic method of this architecture are based on a figure rigorously constructed over time and works in which the possible theoretical dimension must be traced and reconstructed afterwards. The first part of the essay, after a detailed description of the work considered, addresses this dimension. From the definition of the fundamental compositive element as wall-mask conjectures are made to relate the instrumental value of the device to some suggestive ideas recorded in recent history regarding the theme of the mask in architecture. The second part deals with the technical description of some empirically verifiable results and effects. The work of Campodonico -an architect with an intense and important background- deserves to be studied and highlighted. His procedures are intuitive, they seem to be gathering thoughts about reality to convey them through the form in a natural and spontaneous way. El caso analizado es una obra inédita reciente del arquitecto Nicolás Campodonico en la ciudad de Rosario. Es posible conectar su pensamiento arquitectónico a una tipología de aporte a la disciplina que se debe considerar fruto de la dimensión empírica de su trabajo. Sus procedimientos, el método sintáctico de su arquitectura, se fundan en una cifra rigurosamente construida a lo largo del tiempo y sus obras cuya posible dimensión teórica debe ser rastreada y reconstruida a posteriori. La primera parte del ensayo, después de una descripción detallada de la obra considerada, aborda esta dimensión. A partir de la definición del elemento compositivo fundamental como muro-máscara se hacen conjeturas para poner en relación el valor instrumental del dispositivo con algunas ideas sugerentes registradas en la historia reciente vinculadas al tema de la máscara en arquitectura. La segunda parte se ocupa de describir técnicamente algunos resultados y efectos verificables empíricamente. La obra de Campodonico, arquitecto con un trabajo intenso e importante a sus espaldas, merece ser estudiada y puesta en evidencia. Sus procedimientos son intuitivos, como si recopilara pensamientos sobre la realidad para transmitirlos a través de la forma en modo natural y espontáneo.
