| Sumario: | This article studies the reception of Talcott Parsons and Robert Merton in Argentina between 1945-1960. First, the text reconstructs the local circulation of North American sociologists since the beginning of the 20th century and then focuses on the time in which the functionalists began to spread locally, that is, the first Peronist government. Later, the analysis focuses especially on two sociologists: Gino Germani and José Enrique Miguens. Both were prominent receptors of the sociology of Parsons and Merton, whose receptions are reconstructed in a comparative way, showing their appropriations and uses until the early 1960s. |
