Sumario:The design of a didactic unit for addressing human nutrition in biology teacher training is presented, guided by a multi-referenced and complex approach based on the use of food profiles and landscapes prepared with data from the dietary practices of the students. It is observed, from the results of the implementation, that the didactic unit offered significant opportunities for the development of modeling in different fields of  knowledge, surpassing the classic nutritional visions and the construction of bridging ideas between the different dimensions addressed. In addition, it gave rise to the analysis of their food practices from complex approaches and didactic reflections for food education.
