It is observed, from the results of the implementation, that the didactic unit offered significant opportunities for the development of modeling in different fields of  knowledge, surpassing the classic nutritional visions and the construction of bridging ideas between the different dimensions addressed. In addition, it gave rise to the analysis of their food practices from complex approaches and didactic reflections for food education.  Se presenta el diseño de una unidad didáctica para el abordaje de la alimentación humana en la formación del profesorado en biología, orientada por un enfoque multirreferenciado y complejo a partir de la utilización de perfiles y paisajes alimentarios elaborados con datos provenientes de las prácticas alimentarias de los estudiantes. Se observa, a partir de los resultados de la implementación, que la unidad didáctica ofreció oportunidades significativas para el desarrollo de modelizaciones en diferentes campos de conocimiento, superadoras de las visiones nutricionales clásicas y la construcción de ideas puente entre las diferentes dimensiones abordadas.
