Late Pleistocene and Holocene coastal behaviour from 33° to 40° South, Argentine Republic

The coastal behaviour from 33° to 40°S, during two late Pleistocene and one Holocene (Postglacial) transgressions is analyzed. The transgressive episodes were developed in five morphostructural sectors of different tectonic character, at least for the pre-late Pleistocene times. The height of the Sa...

The height of the Sangamon and Holocene deposits found by researches on the Brazilian coast were considered as indicating a relative crustal stability. Accordingly the height of the Sangamon (?), Mid-Wisconsin and Postglacial deposits recognized in the present work are correlated with the Brazilian deposits. -from Authors JOUR info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/ar http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12110/paper_07490208_v4_n1_p59_Gonzalez
