Sumario: | Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy and mechanical properties tests were used to study the influence of the filler content on the epoxy resin DGEBA. Using a mechanical model recently developed by the authors of the present work, and the values of the long lifetime component it is possible to evaluate correctly the internal stresses introduced in the epoxy lattice for the filler. Additional information obtained from the analysis of the short-lived lifetime component is also presented. Specifically, in the case of the matrix charged with metallic particles, an interesting correlation between the associated intensity to this component and the filler volume fraction is shown. |
