On the contrary, the activity of chloroplast fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase was inhibited by Ca2+. These results suggest that Ca2+ (or Mn2+) is potentially important in the regulation of the chloroplast fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase reaction (activation and catalysis). © 1980, Academic Press, Inc..
