The rocks contain ostracods, molluscs and algae, as well as coated grains and polygenetic intraclasts. Mixed terrigenous elements are important in most of the carbonate rocks, where limestones are transitional to siltstones and sandstones. Statistical analyses using Markov chains enabled the detection of a high energy basal cycle and a low energy upper cycle. Facies relationships indicate a lacustrine environment.
