Complex physical systems can be defined using simple rules, reducing the development. We present the definition of a model of flow injection using Cell-DEVS. The simulation validation results showed a margin of error within the expected values for the experiment, showing how to employ the formalism in analyzing physical systems. © 2002 IEEE.
