Doncellas (puna septentrional, jujuy, argentina): Nuevos enfoques a partir del estudio cerámico y del análisis paleodietario

Here, we present the results of two independent lines of research: paleodiet analysis through stable isotope ratios of carbon and nitrogen in human bones and techno-stylistic analysis of ceramic vessels, applied to the study of collection materials from the archaeological site Río Doncellas (northwe...

From these analyses, similarities and differences have been detected in two sectors of the archaeological area (village and tombs) in both types of samples. Evidence from the tombs shows a relationship with the textile industry. Moreover, this same sector shows, among other prestige goods, a set of foreign ceramic container styles, including from the Yavi Culture, the Inca Empire and the Yungas. Evidence from the skeletal analysis of these individuals shows a different isotopic signal with respect to those from individuals in the village. 2011 https://bibliotecadigital.exactas.uba.ar/collection/paper/document/paper_07160925_v_n42_p79_Perez http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12110/paper_07160925_v_n42_p79_Perez
