Sumario: | The results of a new high-resolution study of the molecular gas associated with the supernova remnants (SNR) G349.7+G18.8+0.3 were presented. The observations were performed with the SEST telescope in the 12Co J= 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 lines. The observations have provided the new evidence in support to the existence of physical interaction between the SN shocks and the adjoining molecular clouds, for the two SNRs. It was concluded that the masers were excited at the sites where a non-dissociative C-type shock, locally transverse to the line of sight, hits a denser molecular clump. |
