Sumario:The issue leading this investigation means how to connect Artistic Studies and Social Commitment in the courses of studies of the Transdepartamental Area of Art Criticism of the UNA (National University of Art). The procedure involves finding experiences performed or on course at higher levels of education and analyzing cases selected on the grounds of impact and sustainability. Moreover, data collection will be conducted on various financing lines for this sort of practices and on social organizations with problems which can be assisted by the knowledge produced in the Art Criticism courses of study. Finally, new proposals will be designed to be effectively put into practice. The theoretical framework of this project has three fundamental pillars: Emancipatory Pedagogy (Jacques Ranciere), the learning-service proposal and the notion of reading developed by Michelle Petit and Graciela Montes. Its aim is to enable the institutionalization of sustained university learning-service experiences in Art Criticism.
