description Purpose: Implement of the first electronic fishing log for owners and captains of fishing vessels in the port of the city of Mar del Plata. Methodology: The research was based on a qualitative methodology, of a descriptive type with agile methodologies for the adaptation and implementation of the technological solution and techniques of documentary analysis and direct observation for the knowledge of the existing computer systems and the tests of the application carried out. Results: Deployment of the technological solution with tests on land by owners and captains of fishing vessels. Validation of the operation of the mobile application with respect to its basic functionalities. Acceptance by users of the use of digital technologies for the recording of data by trip and spear during the capture of the target species with discrimination of the added incidental species. Research limitations: The limitations of the work are found in the scope of the tests that at the end of the project and given the conditions of the software were carried out on land. Originality: For the main Argentine fishing port in the city of Mar del Plata, the first use of a technological solution was made to facilitate the registration of extractive fishing.
